If you are preparing for PTE in the Philippines. Classes use official Pearson coursebooks and official mock tests, and answers are marked for real by Pearson's scoring engine. Every week you sit a mock test in the campus PTE lab, under the same conditions as the real thing.
The test is taken on a computer from start to finish. Even the speaking is recorded through a headset, and scoring is done by AI with human expertise built in. All three parts are finished in one sitting, in about two hours.
These are only the ranges commonly asked for. The actual requirement differs by institution, department, visa and occupation, and it changes from year to year. You must check the requirements of the place you are applying to for yourself.
These figures are approximate, based on the comparison table published by Pearson. Some institutions use conversion tables of their own.
WALES is a PTE Partner and a PTE Registration Center for Pearson. It is not a Pearson branch and not part of Pearson — it is a third party that explains PTE and helps you register to sit the test.

This is the fee you pay Pearson to sit the test. It is separate from WALES tuition, and booking and payment are both handled by Pearson.
Pearson's published price for the Philippines, checked August 2026. The peso figure is a conversion and moves with the exchange rate.
The fee and the available centres differ by country and by type of test. You can check the current price on Pearson's booking page.

The first question is which one the place you are applying to accepts. If it takes both: PTE suits you if you need results quickly or want frequent test dates, and IELTS suits you if you would rather speak in front of a person.
Typing speed does affect your Writing score, because you type on screen rather than write by hand. Lessons themselves are run on computers, so you get used to it over the preparation period.
PTE is sat at an authorised test centre. WALES is a PTE Registration Center, so the booking is handled with you on campus. Which centre, which date and how you get there are settled together at the consultation.

Fifteen is the line. Under 15 you may only enrol on Junior (ESL from 7 to 14, IELTS from 12 to 14, English-only policy in force), and you cannot come without a guardian. From 15 you enrol on the adult courses and may come alone.
IELTS is general score improvement. Guarantee promises your target within 8 or 12 weeks — provided you keep 95% attendance and meet the homework and mock-exam conditions — and includes supervised evening study.
Both prepare you for a certified exam. IELTS is marked by people and recognised widely by universities and immigration. PTE is marked by computer, so results come back fast and test dates are flexible.
You take the level test on the day you arrive, and your course and group classes are assigned from the result.
